I read Katy's post today and it reminded me of my "baggage" and dreams. For now, I will keep dreaming.
For this year, here is THE PLAN:
I will replace old habits with new ones instead of resolutions.
I will have only three things on my daily to-do list.
I will make time to nurture the people and things that are important to me, including myself.
I also hope to post here more often.

A walk
Today evening it was 12 degrees (Celsius), we took a walk downtown; we rarely go there in the summer. I hate driving everywhere, right now I cannot come up with a viable alternative. My 3yr old (A.) cannot really walk far because usually we rush and take the car and only walk to the playground close by to play. I have been thinking how to change that, hence the walk.
Our small city has nice, historic buildings and the Christmas lights and displays are beautiful. Strangely, I enjoyed our walk for what it was, getting out after a week of work, seeing my son run, look and point at things. The only store he wanted to go in was a furniture store, where he saw a leather elephant (meant to be a high-end bean chair of some sort).
Sadly, on our walk we saw an aftermath of an accident. A pick-up truck probably hit a pedestrian, we only got to that corner when the ambulance has just arrived. A person on the ground and lots of sirens. My boy was a bit scared, we were far enough not to see details and then, he was more interested in the emergency vehicles. I tried to assure him that the doctors at the hospital will take good care of that lady (at least I think it was a woman).
We walked and talked some more about traffic lights, colors, people, Santa and sirens.
On the way home in the car, A. made up a story about himself being in an accident - this is how he processes things. At the end he said, "Mom I always hold your hand. You always tell me to hold your hand" I said " I watch out for you" A. said: " Like the doctors and policemen for that lady. And they can now go help someone else"

First
I should have a clear focus for this blog. The problem is that I cannot think of only one. They are all about challenges and plans, mostly making my life simpler and happier.
Latte with sugar makes me happy for a few minutes, I only have to figure out the rest.
